That’s why we founded Namaste Charters- to satisfy the desires of tourists and locals alike who are up for a unique kind of adventure.
Our Story
Namaste Charters is a water charter service that provides tours of Charleston on a 24-foot Carolina Skiff boat through the city’s waterways. We offer our clients the opportunity to get an up-close look at their surroundings without having to deal with the noise and crowds that come from being on land. Our boat captain, Stephen Nettles, is more than just a guide— he’s been navigating the waterways of Charleston since he was 12 years old. As a result, he’s a master of all things Charleston and knows exactly where to point his clients’ eyes so that they can see everything there is to see. If you’re looking for something different than what you’ll find at the beach or in downtown Charleston, Namaste Charters is your new go-to!
MEET OUR CAPTAIN, STEPHEN NETTLES
As a young boy, Stephen Nettles knew he loved the water. Spending summers in Bluffton since the age of ten, his father gave him a johnboat to go fishing in, and from the moment he first took it into the water, he knew he wanted to spend most of his time on a boat, coasting through the waterways of the South Carolina Lowcountry, so he did.
As the captain of each Namaste Charters boat excursion, Stephen Nettles is a man who takes his childhood dream and makes it a reality every single day, and the experience you’ll enjoy on a Namaste Charters boat tour reflects that. With his Master’s license, Stephen is fully trained and authorized on how to operate and inspect a vessel. He’s literally making a living doing what he’d wanted to do as a child!
